The pneumatic butterfly valve is mainly composed of valve body, valve disc, piston type pneumatic actuator, air supply pipeline and control components. When the actuator loses power or the intake air is cut off, the air-controlled butterfly valve is closed, and the valve disc is closed by the force of the spring, preventing the flow of fluid. When the actuator gets the power supply or the intake air is opened, the male spring force of the pneumatic actuator is controlled by adjusting the air source pressure, so that the valve disc can be opened and closed.

The opening of the pneumatic butterfly valve is generally adjusted by adjusting the input pressure of the air source, and it can also be adjusted by adjusting the pressure difference between the air source pressure and the inner chamber of the pneumatic actuator. As the input pressure increases, the pressure in the inner cavity of the pneumatic actuator also increases, pushing the disc to the open position, thereby controlling the fluid flow. On the contrary, when the input pressure decreases, the pressure in the air actuator chamber also decreases accordingly, and the valve disc moves to the closed position, thereby controlling the fluid flow.
